Realm Royale

A spin-off of the Hi-Rez's "hero shooter" Paladins, bring a "battle royale" twist to the fantasy setting.

Overview

Realm Royale is a high-fantasy third-person survival-shooter in development by Heroic Leap Games, with a planned free-to-play released by Hi-Rez Studios.

A spin-off of the studio's "hero shooter" Paladins, Realm Royale brings the setting into the popular "battle royale" gameplay style (similar to Fortnite, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, and H1Z1). Unique features to the game include character classes (each with unique abilities), special weapon crafting, and the use of mounts. Like Paladins, the game received complete cross-platform multiplayer and progression support.

Each match has up to 100 players (each either solo or in teams) dropping into a large land, where they must scavenge for weapons and items and fight to become the last one standing. To hasten each match, the game uses a damaging fog that converges over time into smaller areas.

It was originally released in Steam Early Access on June 5, 2018, received open XB1/PS4 betas on August 1, 2018, and received a pay-to-play Switch beta on May 24, 2019.
